My name is Andrea Funák and I am the company’s founder.
In the summer of 2017, I visited Portugal for the first time as a tourist. It was there I got acquainted with the cork oak and the marvelous products made from its bark, cork. This incredible natural material, which I didn’t know before, and the way it is processed sparked my interest. Since we live in a world in which natural materials will play an ever greater role due to the importance of preserving our health and our planet, I decided to get to know cork and the special technique used to produce it. I was charmed by the easygoingness of the Portuguese and the respect with which they treat cork. I used the time spent in Portugal to make contact with the companies producing items made of cork.
After returning home I could not stop thinking of how I could let people know about this marvelous natural material and the products made from it.
I contacted the biggest cork processing company in Portugal, which greeted my interest with enthusiasm and sent me a selection of their items, so I could get a better idea of what they were offering. I founded my company in Slovenia, but since I am Hungarian I would like to market the products in my home country as well.
After I received the first cork products, my belief that they are unique, beautiful, well-made and can be used by both women and men was confirmed by my friends and acquaintances.
I am constantly expanding my offer according to demand.
